We have not yet invested in the UL fire rating test. Other similar Spex•Crete™ Ultra Lightweight Underlayment products have been tested and rated as ASTM E84 Class A certified for Fire & Smoke. Foam Board, the typical offset to this product, is not UL approved for fire either.

Yes, Spex•Crete™ lightweight underlayments are very easy to use! Once Spex•Crete™ 350 SS ULU is pumped or poured on the floor, simply use a gauge rake set to the desired depth and finish the install with a smoother if a less textured surface is desired. Apply primer and top coat in 18 - 24 hours.
